15 October 2025

Food often travels through industrialized and global supply chains to reach out tables. These chains are dominated by major corporate actors; resulting in the disenfranchisement of producers.

I am pleased to moderate a session that focuses on the role of local, traditional, and farmers markets as entry points for locally led, just food systems transformation. This is especially interesting since we will hear from many partners with whom I have worked, in addition to practitioners on the ground who will share their stories.
